Refund policy
We take immense pride in the accuracy of our detailed imagery and item descriptions. However, we understand that selecting fine jewelry online is an intimate process and that a piece must look as breathtaking in hand as it does on your screen. To ensure absolute confidence in your acquisition, we offer a 3-day unconditional, boutique satisfaction guarantee under the following parameters:
- The Return Window: You must notify us in writing at Vanessa@Heritagejewelry.com within three (3) calendar days of delivery confirmation to initiate a return.
- Standard Refunds & Processing Fees: Approved returns receive a 100% refund of the purchase price, minus a 5% restocking fee.
- Restocking Fee Waiver: The 5% fee is completely waived if your original purchase was executed using a zero-fee merchant method, including Chase Bank Transfer, Bank Wire, or Zelle. Please contact our studio prior to your purchase to request specialized routing coordinates for these methods.
- Condition & Alteration Triggers: To qualify for a refund, items must be returned in their original condition. Any piece that has been altered, resized, modified, or damaged in any way is ineligible for return.
- Excluded Transaction Tiers: All Bespoke Custom Orders and items completed via our Layaway Program are inherently FINAL SALE upon structural commitment and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Layaway Plan
Client Services: Secure Acquisition Plans
To help you acquire your next one-of-a-kind treasure, we are pleased to offer a 0% Interest Layaway Plan for any piece over $500. This highly successful program allows our clientele to comfortably budget for significant investments and plan ahead for recurring milestones like anniversaries.
- Reserving Your Piece: A 20% initial deposit is required immediately to secure your selection. Once processed, the piece is removed from public display and held securely in our vaults until fulfillment.
- Flexible Installments: You maintain complete control over your timeline. You may choose to compress your balance into two or three installments, or utilize our maximum structural term of six equal monthly installments (concluding within 7 total months from your start date). Payments are due on the same calendar anniversary date each month.
- Final Sale Status: To protect our rotating inventory of unique items, all acquisitions completed via layaway are considered final sale.
Cancellations & Delinquency Protocols
- Voluntary Cancellation: Plans may be canceled at any time for any reason. To request a cancellation, please contact us in writing at Vanessa@Heritagejewelry.com. Your accumulated installments will be refunded via your original payment method within 5 business days, minus the initial 20% deposit, which is retained as a non-refundable inventory holding fee.
- Payment Delinquency: If a scheduled monthly installment is missed, we will issue a direct courtesy reminder. To protect our studio, if an account ceases payments and fails to respond to three consecutive reminder notifications, the entire balance paid to date will be forfeited after 60 days of inactivity, and the item will be returned to active inventory for public sale.

- Timeline Expectations: Due to the secure mailing required for our out-of-state experts, turnaround times fluctuate based on seasonal volume and job complexity.
- Sizing Quotes: If you anticipate needing an item sized, please allow us two business days to request an accurate estimate covering cost, completion time, and secure logistics.

- Chemical Exposures: Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, cosmetic creams, and abrasive soaps. In particular, modern hand sanitizers and chemical soaps can permanently damage or discolor traditional metal alloys and porous gemstones.
- Routine Professional Care: We recommend having a certified jeweler inspect your settings and tighten prongs at least twice a year to ensure your stones remain perfectly secure.
Warranty & Independent Insurance Recommendations
Because antique hand-cut diamonds and historical colored gemstones are irreplaceable, Heritage Jewelry offers no implicit or explicit warranty or structural guarantee on vintage inventory. Prior to curation and listing, every piece in our collection is rigorously inspected for loose stones, metal fatigue, or structural vulnerabilities by our master bench jeweler. We strongly advise our clientele to align their acquisitions with their active personal lifestyles. To protect your investment against unexpected accidental damage, loss, or theft, we highly recommend securing specialized third-party jewelry insurance. We advise contacting your homeowners or renters insurance provider to review your existing policy limits and determine if a dedicated fine jewelry rider is beneficial.
